Hey - and Help!

I have had good & not-so-good results in ordering from some of those "assistance" catalogs. So I'm going to the experts & asking your advice. What electric can openers seem to work best for bpi-ers? Christmas is coming, doncha know!

Thanks, as always,

Ellen

Carrie has been pleased with how our "Black&Decker" cordless can opener works. It's very bpi friendly. We got it at WalMart and it was fairly inexpensive. It stays in the charger all of the time so it's never down. The cat. no. is KEC 300.

The one I have and absolutely love is by hamilton beach model #75600. I have been very happy with it and it is small and easy to store. The only cans I have had problems with are the small tomato paste cans. I have to reattatch it occasionally.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'm putting all the urls in a document & then John can figure out which one he'd like. Question for Dick: I see a KEC600 but not a KEC300 out on the net. Do you think that's the new model? Here's the 600 - do you mind looking at it & letting me know if it looks like the same thing?

Appreciate all your help, as always!

Ellen,

Mine is the Black & Decker KEC-500. I bought it at Wal-Mart 2 or 3 years ago. The one you are seeing in the catalog is probably just a current version. Mine works good. It sets on the can more easily for right hands than left, but those of us that have only our left hand just have to give it a few more starts is all. Hope this helps.

Happy Holidays to all!

That can opener at the Lowe's website looks just like mine.

Ellen, I got that model #KEC300 off the side of the opener, not from it's original box, We purchased it years ago. Maybe it's beeen discontinued. The one you found looks like it works the same way.
