Flying with your MRI's?

Post by Kristie »

A Friend of mine is needing to travel for medical treatment. She was planning to take her MRI's on the plane with her. Has anyone done this? Is it more difficult to get through security with them?
Thanks,
Kristie

We just had an MRI done and our doc put them on a hard copy and emailed them to TCH. He also sent them through the snail mail to make sure they get there.

the other thing you could do and i have done is pack them in the bottom of your suit case.. I've also carried them on the plane with me, but then its where are you going to put them, i had a window seat and sat them up next to the wall, up in the overhead bin, I'd be afraid of them getting bent.people tend to just shove their stuff up there with no respect to other peoples stuff..
hope this helps..

When we went to TCH for surgery I took them on the plane with me. They did take them at the security check point and look through envelope. I think I put them in the overhead bin after we sat down.
