I recently have found out that I have a BPI, caused by crutches. I had ankle surgery in May and the crutches were too high and caused this injury. I have a couple Q's if someone can Answer them. I have been in ext. pain and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me about my med. I was wondering is it better to take a low dose med. more often or a high dose less often. I hate taking med. and I feel like I am currently taking all these meds. If anyone has a suggestion please write thanks! Happy Holidays!

Hi,
I take 3200mg Nerontin a day for the pain. I can't tell you it takes the pain away because it does far from that but I would hate to see what I would be like without it. I have recently started on a 50mh antityptaline at night and this has helped.
Make sure you talk thoroughly with your doc's and I have to say also that the nerontin didn;t help at all in the degining but I am convinced it does a bit now. My doctors wanted to avoid hapid forming drugs and so did I. I have found what I am on to be very safe.
