Happy Thanksgiving to all. It is a tradition to say what we are thankful for on this day. I am thankful for this board...what would the battle be like without it? I am thankful for my family...where would I be if not for their support? Hard to imagine, and I hope to God I never find out. And many thanks to our friends across the pond, who put up with us even though we talk funny. Thought you guys might be interested in an article that my PT found on the net. It talks about a doctor who took nerves from a mother and implanted them in her son for his injured arm. Now here is a guy who really has family support. Check it out... http://www.bernscommunications.com/pr_061104.htm
It also brings to light a doctor who I haven't heard of. You guys enjoy your Thanksgiving. Gotta go get the bird ready to deep fry. Cheers...Karl...

Thanks for posting the link to this Karl. I heard it mentioned briefly on the news (radio) the other day but didn't catch much of the story. What an amazing gift she gave her child~I know many of us would do the same.

Hi Karl and thanks for the article. I haven't heard of that doctor either but he seems to know his tbpi stuff.
Happy Thanksgiving too! Our stores are full of turkeys too, we have a LOT of americans here in NZ. I read this in the newspaper and couldn't help thinking of you, Karl....
.
"......Speaking of which: The "hot" new Thanksgiving culinary trend is to cook turkeys in big deep-fat fryers, which are hugely popular because they give guys an excuse to spend Thanksgiving outside drinking beer and messing around with a device that could potentially destroy an entire neighborhood. Now that guys have decided to become seriously involved in Thanksgiving food preparation, it's only a matter of time before they come up with a mashed potatoes recipe that involves a grenade launcher."

Does this ring any bells Karl?? :0)
