Hi,

I have a right bpi. Some 10 years ago (10 years december 19) I came off my motorbike on my 17th Birthday.

True to form, I have never done things by half ... full blow bpi. Too be honest I can not remember which nerves were avulsed.... didn't feel the need to remember as it doesn't mean much to anyone.

I do not have any use of my right arm and like some of you guys have already said, its now got very thin. Also, am still suffering a lot of pain, which i know that some of you must also be feeling.

Its nice to know that I'm not alone here, but do not wish this on anyone, and if I could take your pain on too I would, guys.

Well, just thought I'd introduce myself, and let you know that you have a brother in the UK ;)

See you all, take care.
Dave

Hi Dave, sorry to hear about your accident. My son has a ROBPI. Have you tried e-stim on your arm, NMES or TES? Hope you feel better and the pain goes away.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the boards. Sorry that you are here for the same reason so many others are.

I have a son, Ryan, with a LBPI from a motorcycle accident 4 1/2 years ago. He is now 27.

I understand your pain, from just being witn him and saw what he went through until he had a nerve transplant 3 months after the accident. There are still days the pain is worst then other days.

This is a great site with so many people here giving their support in anyway they can.

Best to you,

Hugs, Karen

Thanks for all the replies, I shall certainly try and stop be more often.

Court, in reply, yes I have had a few ops none of which made any difference. It all seems like such a long time ago now.

The extent of my injuries where:
Punctioned Lung
Broken right arm in 7 places
Shattered Shoulder Blade
RBPI (obviuosly!)
Broken Collar Bone
and broke my little finger!

Thankfully and amazingly I didn't have a scratch on my legs!

Well, thats me....

Hi Dave

Welcome to the boards, we are new to them as well. Only started a couple of months ago. My son Michael also had a motorcycle accident in May this year with right BPI injury. Only c5 remained intact. He recently had nerve surgery, about 9 weeks ago. I personally don't know the pain, but I watch Michael suffer everyday with it, so can understand what you go through. You are definately not alone here and these message boards have saved our sanity and kept us on track. Good luck to you Dave and feel free to email us at any time. Regards Narelle & Michael
