Hi, everybody:

(I am the mom of a 3-year-old son, LOBPI. I had posted the following message on the OBPI boards, and someone suggested posting it here!)

I just happened to tune across Dr. Phil yesterday. I heard him mention he is trying to do shows on "epidemics that no one talks about." So I looked on his site and he is seeking folks who have had "medical mishaps."

I know we have all talked about Oprah before, but here is another opportunity to get the word about BPI out there. Considering his large female audience, I think BPI would be a great topic. Any takers? Here's the link:

I did it last night, gave them my personal history, and refered them to the site.

I think this is a really great idea. We get Dr Phil on telly down here and I know there are a lot of people that watch it. It would a great way to get these injuries made aware to the public. Please keep us informed on what happens regarding this, because if you guys get to go on TV I really want to be watching that !!! I didn't post to Dr Phil because of the obvious....Good luck guys regards Narelle

Did anyone on here suffer a TBPI from a medical mishap? If so, could you post here or email me privately...would love to know as I have been asked several times by people who have a TBPI from bad positioning on an or table during long surgery for unrelated medical problems.

I believe that is what the Dr Phil people are asking for...medical mishap stories.
