Halloween fun

Thought I'd post if any one cared to join in. This year Brittney, 12, is going to be a psycho - she has a wig that sticks straight up, reminds me of 'Cramer' from Seinfeld, and she is going to put fake arms in a straight jacket and cut holes out for her arms. She was invited to 5 different halloween parties this October - gees! She doesn't want to dress like a psycho for the ones the boys will be at.... sort of funny... Maybe be a bunny or a cat??? It's odd having a teenager daughter... Sabrina is going as a vampire witch with her best friend who has an identical costume that they picked out together at Party City - they can't wait for their school parade next Friday.
Last year we had over 275 trick or treaters - I know that sounds odd - but I count them every year and we keep getting more every year. My neighbors think I'm nuts but they always ask "How many now??" and I give them a total - it's become my neighborhood role job I guess LOL - to keep count. Anyway - Happy Halloween, happy pumpkin carving, happy times with your family.
Love,
Christy

Amber and her brother are planning on going as a pair of dice that I will make. Last year she was Dumbo (a store bought outfit) and Casey was a box of circus popcorn (I made that one). He even got his picture in the paper for last years costume.

Wow Tanya - how clever - what a great Mom you must be - wish I could make costumes - my sister has for my kids a few times but I have no talent there. I love the pair of dice idea. I hope y'all have a very very happy halloween, and thanks for replying.

Hannah will be Cinderella and Ella will be a "good" ghost. They both picked out their own costume ideas. We are going to a farm today for pumpkin picking, hay rides, pony rides, face painting and other fun things.

It's all about cardboard boxes when it comes to costumes here. I do NOT sew in the least. I got the ideas online, so I can't take credit for them totally.

Jessica is only 20months but she picked out the costume she wanted...I wanted her to be a princess or a "good" witch. But no, she wouldn't have it! She picked a Dog costume! Like we don't have enough dogs(6) at the barnyard as it is!
We hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween...and remember kids...parents get to "check" the candy...LOL!

Trevor's going to be the "blue" Power Ranger and Makenna is going to be a cat. My husband is going to be Captain Hook and I am going to be Tinkerbell (or we settle for some other costumes from a few years back). Krista, we're going to the pumpkin patch today too-hay rides, corn stalk maze, bounce house, etc. I can't wait!!! This will be Makenna's first time (since she was 2 months old last year). We are also having a preschool Halloween Party at our house (since were not going to trick-or-treat). Should be lots of fun.

Veronica is going to be Dorothy (made great shoes!) She'll just be the smallest Dorothy walking around at 20lb. Her brothers are going to be tin man, scarecrow, lion, and the wizzard of Oz. I'll be the witch of the west, and If I have time...my husband can be one of those soilders. I need to see the film again t see if I can pull that one off! Is there anywhere we can post pics here?

Have fun Shannon! Sounds like you will:) I'm glad to hear that Chip and I aren't the only ones who also dress up with the kids. I got myself a new witches hat this year - it is about a yard wide - I probably won't fit thru the door when I put it on! Chip is going as a masked crazy person with a glow in the dark sword - 40 years old and he is such a kid!
Happy Halloween to all of you!
