Hi All
As many of you know Florida is getting ready for another hurricane. I spoke to Judy T. this morning and she once again was preparing for the hit and to board up her house and may have to evacuate again.


She was so nervous and I thought it was just the hurricane but NO it was about substitute teaching today.
Are you all ready for this one -- SHE IS TEACHING PE !! She asked the principal if he knew she had a paralyzed arm and he said yes but she could supervise the class. We had a great laugh over this considering our own personal PE stories.

Judy asked me to post this for her because she was in a rush to get to school. She said she is teaching “one armed jumping jacks today.” Of course, we both found this entire thing very funny and I guess it may be our sick sense of humor. But teaching PE has to be the ultimate challenge for an OBPI. I have no doubt she will do well because she climbed the wall at Camp UBPN and did a great job.

I hope Judy is having a good day - it's a pretty ironic situation huh? She is finally in charge of PE - how cool is that? What a challenge - she'll do fine and actually I think that might be a dream come true for alot of those with OBPI's. I think Brittney would love the chance to for once be the one saying the commands instead of taking them! I think if Brittney were to ever get the opportunity to teach a PE class, she might have them do one-armed weight lifting, and pull-ups 'buddy system' style, and play "jump over the rope on the floor", because jumping rope the regular way is WAY over-rated!! Right now Britt is in 'aerobics and yoga' in PE, and I wish Judy were subbing at her school!

I am finally able to sit down at the computer. I was called into sub p.e. this morning. I was a little nervous, but said what the heck! Today went real well. All I had to do is supervise. The first class came in and there stood my daughter with a shocked and embarressed look on her face. I was her teacher he he .She got over it. It has been a busy day. we are starting to board up again and may evacuate again! I am getting tired of this. I just bought stuff for my freezer yesterday, what a bad move. Well, I got to finish preparing....

One of the joys of motherhood is to live long enough to embarass our children... tee hee...
