Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

HOOORAYYYY!!
I left town for a night & a Day disgusted and on my return last evening the BEAUTY OF MONTREAL, Marieke, greeted me!! You are one "Gutsy Girl, Marieke, AND, best of all it was worth waiting for to see your fabulous Cover.

I was exhausted from a long rainy drive on the 26th, but I read Outreach from cover to cover before I feel to sleep last night.

Great articles! Thank You Dad's for being so candid. You are Fab Dads. Thank you too,Chris for your honesty in "Telling it like it is". You are to be commended for your hard work of fighting your way to a healthy life to share with us, your UBPN Family.

Thanks to you all who put the Outreach out...every article was a gem of information.

You are off the hook, Marieke & all conspirators! We will all just have FUN & HUGS at Camp 2007 here in Washington!
I will be sure to order lots of sunshine and clear weather to view "My Mountain", Mt. Rainer next Labor Day weekend.

HUGS ALL AROUND, :)
Carolyn J
PS... Great news, Amy, for joining the BOD'S! Can't wait to hug you.

no external rotation against gravity, can only go to 90 degree fwd flexion, no hand-to-mouth
1 surgery at age 14 (latissimus dorsi transfer). In 2004, at age 28 I was struck with Transverse Myelitis which paralyzed me from the chest down. I recovered movement to my right leg, but need a KAFO to walk on my left leg. I became an RN in 2008.

Whew! the cat is FINALLY out of the bag!

Thank you Carolyn for your compliments! I was thrilled to be asked to be asked if they could use the pic for the cover. It's neat seeing it.

And thanks to all who kept mum... Now we can talk about it freely! LOL.

It is really cool to see that Camp 2007 will be in WA... although I moved away from there 5 years ago! I don't think we will make it back for that but it made me smile!

Oh yes I received my Outreach today in East Cenrtal IL!

Sorry you won't make it to Camp 07 here in WA. But you never know, you might get a chance to come back to WA and be with us. It would be nice.
