HI. You all talk in jargon which i don't understand. I had a motorcycle accident 03.07.02 and broke my neck collar bone and 2 bones in forearm which have been plated and pinned. I know i have a brachial plexus injury. I can shrug my shoulder but have no other movement and have no feeling from just above my elbow to the tips of my fingers. I am being referred to another specialist to see if he can do a graft from my leg to my upper arm.

This sounds nasty to me. What effect will this have on my leg/foot?

Hi Zoe

I have had a BPI since 1993 and can answer a lot of your questions...we also have a bpi support group for adults based here in the U.K. and there are around 60 members now...between us all we have vast experience in living with these life altering injuries, and the biggest cause of the trauma injuries has been motorbike accidents. Please feel free to email me, and I will send you the details of the group :0)
..my email address is liz@tbpi-group.org

Take care..

Liz B
