I second that question. My daughter had a nerve graft at six months and a nerve transfer at 1 1/2. She will be having a transfer to her deltoid and rotator cuff this year (she is four). But I have never heard of a mod quad or a TT. I even asked my therapist, and she had never heard of them (she is a specialist in BPIs at Hasbro Childrens Hospital). Can someone please give a brief explanantion?

If you go to
www.drnathbrachialplexus.com there are detailed explainations of these surgeries. Under the surgery info link-click on muscle surgeries and it will have mod quad listed. Under bone surgeries it will discuss TT (Triangle Tilt). If your child needs these surgeries-he's supposed to be best. Just hearsay-I've never met him.

I totally understand your concern. I felt the same way, and Dr. Nath has performed 3 surgies on my daughter now. But I was still hesitant about this one. Untill I got the 3-D catscan. I asked the radiologist to make me a copy too. And when I came home and put that in my computer, I knew before he even called that she needed it. It helps to see the bones there clear as day not in the right spot. How else do you move a bone besides surgery? It was very hard to look at the catscan, but I'm glad I did because it really helped me in knowing my descision was right. Good luck on whatever you decide. I'm sure it will be the right choice for your baby.
