Re: Surgery has any one had any success
Hello everyone, I want to give everyone an update. I'm actually moving my arm. when I lay down I can bring all the way up over my head. also when I'm standing I can bring my arm up to chest level, outwards I can bring it out about 15 inches and I can only flex my bicep inwards i can't do a curl yet but even got muscle mass back in my bicep, so I'm hoping its a matter of time. Sept. 23 2002 was my sugery which was 6 months after my accident. I know theirs someone else with similar results please e-mail me and let me no how its going with you. thanx.

Rob,
I am so happy for you. Gianni is getting a little movement back. Dr. Kline was impressed with the movement and said that it was early to get that much back. He can pull his arm toward his chest while resting it on a table. He is now 7 months post op. I pray he gets movement like you have.
Regards,
Maureen aka Gianni's mom

Re: Surgery has any one had any success
Paul,
I love your creed!!! Thats just great! I had surgery 9 months post accident, kind of an expolritory deal. Dr. Wolff found scar tissue and a severly streched nerve at C7 of which he took a nerve from my leg and pieced it in there. My shoulder is stable now and I have regained some strength in my hand also. I am going to see my doctor again in 2 weeks to see about moving a piece of my latisims dorsi (sp?) to get some elbo function back. It has been two years since my accident so I am up for anything! Good luck!!!

Re: Surgery has any one had any success
I fell asleep driving to my parents house for easter in 2001, but never got there. I broke T1 vertebre, avulsed C5 root and stretched C6,7. I am from the Detroit area and see Dr. Wolff in Louisville, KY but I am trying to go see Dr. Kline for a second opinion. Dr. Wolff is great but I am tired of "wait and see"!!! Take care Paul!
