Matthew jumps off stairs with a huge cast on and doesn't fall. He plays with his hunting gun from Cabela's with his free hand and his feet. He opens video containers with his feet. He can climb up on his kitchen chair with one hand and the other arm in the cast. There's probably a ton of stuff I'm missing that he did before he had his surgery but it's just amazing how he doesn't let him being in that cast miss a beat.

Jessica (6 1/2 months) brought her BPI hand to her mouth yesterday without the other hand helping!!! I just couldn't stop kissing and squeezing her....and she's looking at me like "Lady, you need to calm down."
I love this Brag Post Idea!!!

I have been worried about Aaron's speech for a long time. He has speech therapy 1x a month. When he wants something he just points and makes a winey noise. Lately he has been actually saying words her and there. Today after PT (btw he did excellent and paid attention to the PT) I took him to McDonalds to get a happy meal then we went for a ride. Well the fries were too hot so he said "mommy, window down" I could not resist bawling (still suffering the effects of the words "needs surgery") it was so cute to hear my son talk I put the window down and he stuck the fry out the window to cool it down!! I was laughing and bawling at the same time!

Wow Paula, that is great! Maybe he will just start talking and you won't be able to get him to be quiet! That is what happened to Nicholas. Sorry to hear surgery needed but Nicholas is doing a lot more since his caps surgery. I know it is hard but keep the faith.

Hey Georgia!
Long time no talk. I have a deep feeling with this surgery that this one will be IT. As in the one to bring more and better movement-lets hope anyway. Still when I think of how ticked off he will be when he wakes up from surgery...
I just hope the splinting time goes by fast.
He has been talking up a storm now and it just seems like it has happened overnight. I'm excited, so are the other kids. Talk to ya later.

I have a major brag...
In therapy today, Maia lifted her arm up to 160 degrees with NO COMPENSATION (that any of us could see at least).
She has made amazing progress in just the 3 weeks since she started therapy again. I think one of the biggest "helpers" has been that we put a hot pack on her shoulder and arm for 10 minutes before she begins to move... plus today she had 1 hour of ballet so her arm was already warmed up....
