My parents won the case they brought against the physician who delivered me.
This was about 25 years ago, in South Carolina.
I weighed 11 pounds, and the doctor pulled on my neck to get me out. The crux of the case was that my mother's repeated requests for a c-section were documented.
Anyway, great site here. The suit resulted in a structured settlement, which expired recently. It just sort of put me in a mood to see where the state of brachial plexus injuries were these days. It seems as though there are many more available treatments for children. I think that's great. Having a severe injury since birth, I never really think about it since it's always been a part of me. However, I know my parents suffered, perhaps more than I did. They hated the helplessness of the situation.
