Hi all. My name is Halai, 26 year old female. Left TBPI 5-27-02 due to a motorcycle accident. I'm left hand dominant so I'm struggling but hanging in there. Its been 9 months post accident but I'm still seeking surgical options that may return some function back in my arm. This site is wonderful & full of important info. Regards from NY!

Hi everyone, I have a rt bpi from a snowmobile accident Dec 28/02. My doctor advised me my nerves are all torn out, like a phone cord being unplugged. He also said there is no surgery available anywhere in the world. I'm from Manitoba, Canada and have only found 3 bpi clinics in Toronto, one in London, ontario and one in Calgary. I posted earlier and would like to thank all that have replied to my many questions!
p.s. andrew, I can't find your e-mails, please resend if possible thanks!

I'm Carolyn in Los Angeles, left BPI from birth, Horners' syndrome too. I'm more vocal in the OBPI board, but there are so many more grown ups dealing with it over here (I'm 30), that I like to lurk over here too.

I just logged in so I'm no longer a lurker. My name is Linda Rhodes from Chesterfield, Illinois, and my son, Daniel, 18, has a LBPI from a car accident when he was 14. Still hard to deal with - for both of us - but I've noticed an improvement in his attitude and outlook within the past six months. Hopefully will continue to get better. I've been checking out the message boards just to see what's out there. Thanks for the info.

Hello, my name is Gina and I have a bpi to my right arm. Brought to me by a semi driver who decided he didn't have to stop at a stop sign on sept. 4th 2002... I was 12 weeks pregnant at the time, since have had a healthy baby girl on feb. 16th 2003... Glad there are people out there who understand my diffculties.. I've had 2 surgeries, the first to take out my muscle that was severly damaged, and put in a metal plate and 7 pins that is holding my bones together. The 2nd was to debreed my arm due to infection. Waiting to have neurosurgery and plastic surgery, had to wait til i delivered the baby.. Anyone have plastic surgery? im very nervous about both surgeries... Please give me any and all info anyone has, Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
