It be the Lexapro girlfriend. You can't get your cookies when you're on the Lexapro. Topomax doesn't affect it at all for me.

i started taking topomax over a week ago I took it before and feltokay i got pregnant so i stopped i was taking them for racing thoughts but this time when I took the 200 mg daily I woke up one morning and almost fell i comletely lost all feelinf in my left feet and is still numb syopped the meds waiting for feeling.

May I first say, thank you all for your stories and information. However, I am so confused as to what I should do. I suffer from chronic pain from various botched operations. My doctor wants me to try Topamax. Currently I am on percocet and vioxx for pain. I am really affraid to try Topamax. I have three young children and I do not want to become disoriented or depressed. I find that I am suffering enough from pain the pain specialist is planning on doing nerve blocks in May in combination with the Topamax. I really don't know what to do. My family doctor said to try it, if the side effects are too bad, then stop. But do you just quit cold turkey? I am affraid of the reprocussions with quitting cold turkey. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hi, I have been taking Topomax now for 2 months for absence seizures. My side effects are pretty similar to everyone elses. Although, I do have muscle jerks at night, and I have eye pain. I also have sinus pain, I cannot concentrate, cannot focus, problems with speech, memory, fatigue, weight loss, etc. And yes, I did notice that I am starting to lose more hair than normal. These side effects are pretty disabling for me because I work in surgery and I see patients. My questions are... Why aren't there many people taking Topomax for seizures? And Does anyone know more about the liver damage it causes?

Have things changed at all for you? I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who's taking even more Topomax than you. She's severely disabled and so couldn't tell us if she was having any side effects (although she definitely is "dopey" with the latest increase).

I have to say that you did the right thing by getting off the topamax . I believe personally it is a good drug for me , for depression and weight lose but sweet heart the pain and suffering your going through is not normal and those are severe side effects . I do hope that you are feeling better and the doctor puts you on something more that your body will tolerate . God Bless and my prayers are with you .

And to be honest the only side effects I got was at first I peed a lot and I was constipated for a couple days . And also I had the tingling for about a couple weeks, but it went away after the dosage adjusted plus I would say words once in awhile backwards .

I started to get b 12 shots every 2 weeks and after the first 3 i found I didn't need them until like every 3 to 4 weeks then all the tingling and burning went away sounds simple but it really worked.

Hi, I have epilispy sence i was a kid and didn't know it till I was 18 and then was put on Dilantain, over the years the dr. tried diffrent meds but always went back to Dilantain. When I turned 40 that she would soon have to change it.I would go a year at a time seizure free. Then 2 years ago i was in a car accident with my dad and I hurt my neck, and sense that time i have migrain headheads that last up to 3 week and seizures 2 to 3 a week and the seizures have gotten worse. I went to a new dr and he tried me on other meds and I canot take them , so he said lets try this Topamax. My sister takes it also and she has no problems with it and me i'm adjusting to it. The newest thing I told my husband was i have this numbing on my right side of my head and tingles. Not being able to take other meds expect for Diltain Im glad this is working for now.I am taking 100mg for now of topamax till i see the dr. Any advice for tingles and numbness

I have recently been put on Topamax 50mg. I have always been addicted to drinking Coke on a daily basis. Since I have been on Topamax, all sodas taste like metal to me as well. I can not stand to drink a soda and I also have no desire to eat as well. I am starting to get a little worried after reading what everyone else is having to say about all of the other side effects that they are having.

I have been on Topamax 50mg for about 1 month for migraine management. My mother has been on the same for about 3 months. It has worked great for the both of us. Neither one has had a migraine yet. We have both noticed though, that by taking vitamin B6 every night with our Topamax, has pretty much eliminated the tingling sensations and numbness that we were having. The only side effect that I am having trouble with is the change in taste. I can no longer drink sodas...which I love. Almost everything has changed taste wise. Will the change in taste remain as long as I am on the Topamax? Has anyone else had this that has been on Topamax for a long time?
