Jacko you are right, the hassis did seem just like poor people food, but it was good, I would eat it again. I do agree that some of the best foods you would rather no know what is in them it can be very scarey!!!

We have deep fried a turkey before and it is absolutely delicious. The only thing I can tell you is make sure the bird is 100% unthawed. You don't want to throw him in there frozen. Also, our Newfoundland was lurking around the turkey fryer, the grease was leaking out and he was licking the grease as we had pulled the turkey out to go try to do a roast his tail caught on fire!! He didn't get hurt, thank goodness but just a note to make sure you watch your animals around as well. *L*
Good Luck
Have you ever tried beer can chicken?? It's great too.

Rachelcasa,
I haven't tried the beer can chicken yet. I saw the rack for the can/chicken at the BBQ store when we bought our BBQ. Now you have peaked my interest. Do you use it on the BBQ?
I think we need somewhere to post pictures. I think we could share so much more info that way.
Liz,
How is it that you have pictures on the TBPI site?
Are they sent to you first, then you add them to your site?

The pictures on the TBPI UK site, are you talking about thne ones from the Squires weekend? That is a different site that YEti has set up, we could get someone to do some thing like that here.... I have no idea how to do it, I can check into it though.... I am sure that YEti could share his expertise with me.....

Ha ha ha..now you have me roaring here. Beer can chicken is....
You take a beer and drink 1/2 of it first.
You then leave the remainder of the beer in the can.
You insert the chicken (its back end) onto the can of beer. You spice up the chicken on the outside. Set the chicken(with beer can) onto the grill. Leave the lid closed and cook the chicken. It gives the chicken great flavor and cooks really quick. I think we have left ours on for about an hour or so depending on the size of the chicken.
Good Luck and hope it cooks well!!
