A seminar is of very little value when only one point of view is put, this looks informative and hopefully thought provoking.

Sorry Guest
I would like to disagree with your comment that "a seminar is of very little use when only one point of view is put"
I realise that you are probably speaking in reference to this particular seminar, but I think it's unfair to generalise.
Our group here in the UK runs a seminar for Midwives every year with between 120 -150 midwives in attendance.
We have only one point of view, and that is to teach them the correct manouevres to avoid injuring baby's following a shoulder dystocia.
The fact that we are only giving one viewpoint doesn't negate the information our seminar provides.
People are always at liberty to seek an alternative opinion at another seminar if they so wish.

Agreed, I am talking about parents seeking the best way forward for their child. I meant it is good to hear several different points of view on how different centers treat the injury.
As far as your midwife teaching seminars go, you are absolutely right, and it is a wonderful thing that you guys do. I wonder how many babies you saved from being injured-prevention is so much better than cure.

Do you know if this will be video taped? I just realized we will be on vacation on May 1st, and we would really like to see it. I would hate to miss this.
