Questions from Kyles's therapists that they would like to know about...
1. What muscle groups will naturally improve? Should we focus on those groups to enhance improvement?
2. Should we focus on other groups that will not have as much natural improvment?
3. Would cryo spray be useful in conjunction with mayofascial release for restricted muscle groups?
4. In regard to estim...trying to stimulate scapular retraction and depression...how would we do this?
Thanks, Karrie

Hi Francine
Along with Nancy's question on overuse and the prevention of Secondary conditions that many of us who are adult/obpi report I feel we need one very important question answered.
Who is responsible for a full evaluation of the baby? We are in dire need of a total impact study. It seems as if parents are forced to discover many issues on their own and the children are not give a complete body exam to address all of the health issues they face.
Most adults are now becoming keenly aware that many of our ailments are truly related to obpi and affect the injured side of our body...
Often times we adult/obpi must go through tests and get results that confuse doctors because they do not have text books that have information covering the head to toe results of an OBPI... such as smaller ear canals, eyes, rib cage, legs, breathing problems etc and most often the results of horner's is often not associated with this injury and ignored possibly creating learning and reading problems. Or the child can compensate so well no one realizes they are reading with one eye... I guess I could go on and on... wish I could come.

Re: SURVEY #1 (there may be more)
Our therapists have been really great. One criticism: I think it's hard for therapists who don't have children themselves to understand how chaotic life can be (especially for someone like me who also works outside the home and has other children). For home therapy, I need an instruction book like "home therapy for dummies" or something. It's pretty hard sometimes. Also, I would love for our therapists to stay on top of the latest developments (such as the most recent Outreach article on that therapy - forget the name - but it was a combination of Feldenkraus and something else).
SOrry to ramble.
Thanks, Francine.
