frigger...my daughter is 9 years old and her 'right' arm was the affected limb. I'm her father and I've been thru 3 different surgeries. I also felt very very sad and mad but you must learn to live with it and concentrate on the many plusses of your son. You can't dwell on this...it won't go away but you'll learn to live and appreciate what you've got. That's the only thing I can say. Don't give up about working on therapy, future surgeries (if they make sense), and always exercise that arm and don't loose hope because little by little it will get better. Perhaps never perfect, but better. Hope I've helped.
