another thought, there are things they can do in therapy to desensitize if that is truly the case (and not just the "other" type of BPI pain) - they can gradually offer different sensations that are tolerated to work up to ones that are not tolerated now.

i'm 16 and certinally over the last few years when i have cut the blood circulation off (by accident) i then get pins and needles in my arm as the blood flows back but it is very recent as in the lsat 3 years.
i also do sometimes get a sharp pain just above my elbow and it shoots through to the other side but what causes this i do not now and although i have tried to work out what cause it has not been possible.
