I love the clips for twisting my hair. Here's the trick: gather your hair in the back, then clip the clip onto it, then just hold the clip and twirl IT around. When you have done just a few twists, put it up by the back of your head, open it just enough so your hair doesn't fall out of it, and clip it on. [That was really hard to explain without demonstrating, but I hope you get the idea.]
