PLUS they so much want us to go away and be QUIET! All the while the next set of new parents receive inadequate management and erroneous (for the most part, I cannot say everyone eveytime) information when the kiddos are injured. Choice...it was taken away during the birth, I don't know about the rest of you but no one EVER signed permission for katie to recieve injuries to deliver her, not even verbal. Choice--taken away every day--we don't decide what today's activities will be--the injury and the therapies decide. Choice--I was forced (TODAY and I am upset) to turn down an excellent job opportunity because katie may need me to take off in the next few months PLUS she wouldn't have the same therapy coverage. So what if I don't get to retire until I am dead...choice--I made one today, but it wasn't really mine. Legal issue is one the small areas we can take back the opportunity to make a choice. Shame on you docs...if you didn't do anything wrong then why is the shoulder dystocia and associated BPI your worst nightmare? because you slacked on the job somewhere along the line.
