And then and only then can you come play in OUR sandbox.

I was once the hall monitor (well, a pretend one anyway) and can reinstate that position if need be. Thank you for your input Amy.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Kath,

I REALLY CAN'T WAIT !! It will be like the old days when we were all just finding out about each other and this board. But don't think I'm making bread for ya'll again !! Those days are over, now I'll just send need a coupon and you can buy it yourselves. Judy, you need to start piping in here again. I'll be in Al. all winter (which is closer to you then MI.) and may need to do a 1/2 way luncheon????

As far as the sandbox.......Sand, Kath? THAT will neeed a lengthy explanation and to be honest I think YOU were the hall monitor??? I was always too busy making another drink. I'm sure I had a "title" just can't remember what it was. I'm very thrilled to have this new space for us all. Thank you Kath, Rich and all of you who made it possible. Now tell me the super secret password Rich, so I can get my feet sandy.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Tina
Stop wahhhh ing... you are in the Sandbox...
I, however, am sitting on the edge and if you touch me with sand on you... BEWARE... LOL...

My kids learned that rule very early. Amy had her first experience with the ocean and sand this year... LOL...

It's true sand and water do not mix... especially with me... LOL.
Kath robpi/adult and older than you and you can never top that one... ha

lol Kath, my boyfriend teases me when we go to the lake because I can not stand to have sand in my sandals. So I took them off then walked into the lake but the water was freezing so I was out again in a hurry. When I told him my feet would have to dry before I could put my shoes on he laugheed then took me to wash my feet so I could put my shoes back on.

I can do sand just not with shoes!

Tina can I come play in your sandbox? ;)
