Just wanting to let people know that this camp might be more on your own and to my knowledge the BOD is not planning all the transportation this year. That may change but I believe it will be the responsibility of those who want to attend to make arrangements.

More info should be in the next Ourreach!

That kinda sucks... Though I supposed it depends how far from the Airport it is if we need to take a taxi. Many of us do not drive after all.

I am thinking, I wonder? I love fishing one handed,mostly. If there is a lake to fish maybe I would try to show how to fish one handed. I would hope to be there if I can? I bet there are others to who fish already with bpi. Cane poles are really good for kids , Teaching someone to fish is always a good time and fun

Darn, I must be getting old, I finish thinking about fish and I did not finish my thought again.

The PLan for fishing??
1. You would need a shore line to fish a lake or river.
2. There could be a fish fry with the catch? big maybe??
3. You could make it a fishing derby? there are a lot fun
4. Cane pole fishing is cheap to get,like 10.00 bucks. good at any age and very ease to do one handed
5. Bait shops do get involved in derby. They sell a lot bate.
6. We could show how to tie a knot , set up a fishing rig, and some show how to use a rod and reel.

I think that fishing and sharing would be a very BIG

i looked on the site for the camp that were going to, and they have geocaching... its one of my hobbies and i love to do it!!!

What is geocaching,Mel? it does sound like something fun.

its a worldwide scavenger hunt!! you get coordinates and put them into a GPS unit and find 'treasure.' it IS really fun, its a hobby that i do with my dad when the weather is good. inside the treasure boxes, which can be anything from a film canister (and sometimes smaller) to an ammo box (or larger like a 5 gallon bucket) there is a logbook in every one so the person who placed it knows who has been there, and in the bigger caches there are trade items; which sometimes are things that are registered online and have a mission, usually to travel to a certain place. the whole object is to be stealthy in finding and rehiding them. a handheld gps costs anywhere from 50-500, if you get it on sale it is great! check out http://www.geocaching.com for more details that i may have missed, but i would enjoy doing that activity, and maybe trying to teach others, its great exercise and just a blast!!! its my favorite!!
