I had someone draw a happy face on my infraspinatus.
I was thinking of getting a tattoo but I hate needles and am a big chicken... Besides at my age the poor happy face might get wrinkles soon... LOL...

Yes I'm lucky his moles are starting to be a pattern like the big dipper, I had wanted to take pics of his arm where the pads were at during therapy but the OT said the hospital had rules and no pics are allowed (Its my kid and my camera I just don't get that)so instead she drew a pic of his shoulder and his moles of course in my opinion this took up valuable therapy time. Mare, here is a thought (the no pics rule is stupid, it's only of your kid after all!). Get them to LEAVE the electrode ON when you leave.. that way once you get home you can take the pic yourself...

The pads are moved around to different places for different exercises this really makes me mad this is a new rule that sinks when he got the estim 6 months ago I not only took pics where the pads went but video taped the movements she wanted him to do while wearing the pads and when he was given an exercise program to do himself we video taped it so he would remember what he had to do he only see's the OT once a month so if he forgets something it doesn't get done for a month and he looses.

I don't understand why you can't take a picture of the electrode placement on his arms? That is just foolish and wastes valuable therapy time. What's the big deal?

My chiropractor cannot work with the Myotrac with me.
He is not biofeedback certified and that's a bummer for me.
As soon as I started going to him he asked questions and updated himself on bpi injury.
He would be great!
He can however show me were the muscles are in my arm and back when I ask him.
So I asked where the infraspinatus, biceps and deltoids were. I maked them off so that I had the right place.
Could the OT do this for Frankie?

I love the myotrac because it does not do anything but find the muscle and let me work it.
I can't stand e-stim on the unaffected side of my back. If they put it on me I feel the e-stim for a week after... it must be sensory issue !

Gayle...That was the first thing I learn as a child. NO needles allowed in my Erb's Arm... that's always been my excuse for not getting a tattoo! I am so needle phobic... It takes me two year to talk myself into an ordinary blood test.

I just thought of this...
Why don't you bring a sharpie and each time the OT places a pad on Frankie outline it on his arm. Then when you get home you can marke them and take photos.
Just in case there is a RULE about leaving with electrodes on.

Not taking pictures is a terrible waste! They are amazing for home programs and to look back and see the changes. I have pictures of every thing! My OT takes them for me and then writes up a note with the pics its so helpful!

Do bring a sharpie! They can not stop you from writing on your child! Besides the marker washes off in a day or two anyway.

I can not believe they dont take pictures!!! It takes two seconds to get a picture and a whole lot longer to draw one, that is a huge waste of valuable time!!!

Sharpie that's a great idea. I mean she meant well but a drawing is not the same it doesn't show you exactly wear to put the pads since its not your arm its a drawing that's why I have been going by his moles on his arm and back. Good thing he's got a lot close to where the pads go. See its hard for her to tell what muscles to put the pads on since you can't feel frankies they are too weak the OT knows where they are located without feeling then (OK some might have been relocated during prior surgery's but she thinks she's got them all. Next Thurs I'm bring markers red for the A wires and blue for the B wires Thanks Everyone Mare

Frankie just did his bio and we got a bad pad the gel wasn't covering the metal all the way so we weren't getting a reading. I'm going to save the bad ones and return them for new ones they cost $1.00 a pc for pathway pads and we use two at a time this could become costly.
