Greetings All from my home in Chippewa Falls, WI !
Yes, I came home yesterday and am doing good so far. I did have to get a new PICC line put in my arm the other day. This time I asked if I could get a pill to help me relax before getting it done. My mom suggested that. It actually helped me relax and feel better while having it done. Had my first at home antibiotic dose in the line and it all went well! YAHOO! Maybe I am on my recovery road now. :)

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes, hugs and the prayers again. I told the nurses to cancel my reserverations for my next stay there, and to be watching for a book to come out about the tricks to surviving your multiple hospital stays. LOL They just laughed and said they would be waiting to read the book. Just kidding about a book, but I am sure a lot of us have come up with some different ideas and concoctions to help us out while in the hospital. Being with one arm to use makes me think of some goffy things that have actually worked for me.

Well, better close here. My computer time is done for the day. Take care and may everyone's hopes and dreams come true.

Hugs to all!
:)

I'm so glad your home and even with all the procedures they missed cutting your sense of humor.

Besides there is less chance of infection at home.

Take care feel well and send me an autographed copy of that book! LOL...

Karen, glad that you are home safe! I hope that you truly are on the road to recovery this time!!! No more stays in the hospital. Are you on a first name basis with the nurses yet?

Greetings To All!

Wanted to update on how things are for me now.

I have been getting better each day with the laughter of my kids and friends. I think there is a lot to say for laughter that should be bottled, someone could get rich off that one!

I go back to see Dr. at Mayo on August 14th and hope to be taken out of this pillow sling. I will be having x-rays, lab work, and meeting with both Dr.'s that did my surgeries, and the infectious disease Dr. too. So I will be there all day again.

I am still getting med's through the PICC line. That has become easier to accept now. Right now I am waiting for the FED EX guy to deliver a pain med prescription to me. They can't call it in because it is Oxycodone. We are leaving today to attend a family reunion up north and I don't have enough to get through the weekend. The pain is getting a little better but after the 3rd surgery it is still painful.

We are tent camping at the family farm and I am very excited to be seeing everyone again, it has been almost 8 years since the last one! I am packing up my older rocking chair to take with me to sleep in. It's the only thing I can sleep in still. Like I told my hubby,"have chair, will travel". LOL :) Am hoping it isn't too hot so I don't roast in my sling.

Will write when I return, as to how the weekend went. Take care and have a great rest of the week!
