I don't even remember the last time I cried--just haven't been able to allow myself, but tonight I can't stop. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the families, 20/20, ABC, Dr. Laurent, TCH...

I just want to thank you so much for getting awarness out about bpi. Your girls are so beautiful. I am still crying. I didn't realize it would affect me so bad seeing others births like mine and also just seeing your children and how beautiful they are and how they face the same problem as mine. God bless you all and Thank You!

"These are severe permanent injuries." I never thought that I would be so glad to hear these words, on national t.v.

YEAHHH!!!!!!!! Everyone did such a great job and had so much courage. It was hard to relive seeing such a limp little left arm on a newborn. Brittney and I watched this together tonight. It was a strange feeling to watch someone else's birth tape and have it all be so familiar. Thank you to everyone that made this segment possible. Christy

This was a great segment on this type of injury and how it happens. What a great turn out to this message board, and part of the country hasn't even seen the show yet.

I don't know about Brittney but that little arm hit me hard. I guess I never saw a newborn with this injury and somehow did not connect it to me... but the newborn with the tiny limp arm.... just started the tears... and then my husband started too...
PS>.. Go to the ABC message boards.... medical professional not happy with 20/20 and its one sided message....
And the one doctor refered to the "floppy arm" ...that got me...tears changed to spit fire...

Hi,
We didn't go through the ob BP injury, but did go through having our child injured with a traumaic BP injury. I knew from what the drs. told us that it used to be a common birth injury, but had no clue until I found this site and then watched 20/20 last night that it is still happening. Unbelieveable!! I wish I had taped the show.

WOW. Was there a dry eye? I just started crying my eyes out when I watched it. I think it was a GREAT segment and I really want a copy. I loved seeing the families in person...good job all! Thank you for representing us!
