Re: Birth after injured baby - c-section or vaginal?

I was given my baby to hold immediately after my c-section in the or, then immediately after the c-section, they wheeled me to another room where the baby was with us the whole time and I got to hold her then too.
After the first vaginal delivery the hospital did not let me hold her until one hour later, then they took her away.
Actually, if you deliver in the hospital, the experience vaginal or c-section is similar. Beeping machines, instruments, nurses, doctors etc. After my HORRENDOUS vaginal delivery where my doctor injured my first daughter, I enjoyed the nice rapport with the OB as he gently described everything that was happening as he was delivering the baby via c-section. The anesthesiologist was really good and there was a resident anesthesiologist who helped out who actually stopped by my room the next day to say hello and see how I was doing.
Actually, I felt equally nervous/scared delivering with both methods, and now that I have experienced both, I would chose the c-section any day.
Either way...GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!
