I was born with this injury. There are two other obpi fighting with SSD. They have been turned down several times. I and a few others got it... so I was wondering if they gave it to me because my other arm is no good anymore and both hands have secondary injuries Osteoarthritis.... and if that is so... how can they deny you ... when you start to suffer from overuse... I never quit work till I was 61... and just could not do it anymore... but I have always been disabled... good thing they did not deny me... because it is an old injury...

I don't think you can get SSD unless you have worked... how can they dismiss your quarters...

I wonder if you went to a SS Lawyer... what they can do ...
Sometimes I wonder if it is a state to state thing or how your doctor writes up his evaluations...
I had several different doctors ... so they all had to submit reports... I am not allowed to lift or carry anything over 10 lbs anymore ... it seems they all said that...
did you ask to see what your doctors submitted in their reports... perhaps they did not give enough information on your injury... Keep trying...

I brought everything as far medical records goes in with me and sat down and talked with one of their workers. I went to three seperate doctors who said in their reports I was a 100% disabled because of my arm and neck. Since day one I have been told not to lift more than ten pounds which was a joke considering I was a single Mom with four little kids.(Mat was seventeen months and weighed 34 pounds at the time of the wreck.)
The person I spoke with showed me statue after statue of reasons why I could not recieve social security benefits. So I do not know why or how those people work but I know I will never even try again because it is an absolute waste of my time.

Not just a waste of time...

...they humiliate ya' so much. I tried to get some help for school a few years back, after jumpin' through hoops for a while, I had to fill out some sort of Q/A form. By this time the dude that was sentenced to adminster this torture starts to pick at his toes, I just got angry and told him he could stick it up his ass, I've never asked for any help sence.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head Steve. The Goverment(s) are not lining up to help.

Peeps get screwed over all the time. The point I was driving at was how bpi injuries get minimised. It's pretty sad that your limitations get used against you in a suposed free society.

Hey I can rise above it but I still see the injustice.
