Great story. Do you think that your parents were trying to protect you? My parents told me that I was injured at birth; that I "got stuck" but never discussed the details of how it happened. For years I thought that I had cerebral palsy because that is what all the other kids at the PT clinic had. Although my draft deferment letter mentioned a brachial plexus injury I didn't connect the significance. A new doctor explained the "details" when I was in my 30's and what I've found on the UBPN site has provided even more information about this injury.
