I hate emg's and it was painful on the obpi arm for a few days after.

I am so glad that I had them in both arms. I never really understood how much of my arm fuctions I was missing until I had one. I also realized how well I function considering the damage. It cleared up some of my confusion and I really like fully understanding my own injury.

Plan a treat after this visit. I use to get an ice cream after doctor visits... now I have to pretend to get one or else!

I have an hour drive home from the dr. I hadn't planned on having anyone take me but I'm now wondering if I should. Will I be able to drive that far?

Its not that bad you can drive. I never had a black and blue but I don't have a problem in general with brusing.

I think they are really uncomfortable and I hate it but it does not keep me form doing my normal day to day functions. I find I am sore and my arm hurts more.

I had 3 and I drove back and forth it is not the kind of pain that puts you to bed. It is sore and tender

I had an EMG in May, the dr. toke his time and explained everything to me. I've been in chronic pain since Jan.04 so I was readly to do anything to find out what was causeing the pain. I also had a frozen shoulder, therefore placing my arm flat while lying on my back was worse than the needles. Then the needle stikes in my shoulder blade, well I was more concerned that I didn't feel them. Just remember it is to help you overcome your injury. It is for the best. The information is important to have and find a proper cure. I have Brachial Plexus, and not many doctor in my area know what to do. I will have to go to larger city than Baton Rouge, perhaps larger than New Orleans. Good Luck. You'll do fine.
