Can't find my wrist bone. I guess if we had one it would be something else to bump into walls with. Maybe that is why we were spared in having one?

It poses the question: nerve damage? lack of bone development? What other bones didn't develop? Feel your lower arm. The bones feel different. No wonder we're in a lot of pain. Nothing fits together the right way

When they did my nerve conduction test before surgery, they found that my ulnar nerve runs in a different way down my arm than it should. Usually your ulnar nerve fits in that groove in your elbow and when most people hit it, they get the zing from their 'funny bone'. Well, my ulnar nerve is not in that groove. It is about an inch further over and it means that when I rest my arm on anything for any time it will fall asleep because I am compressing the nerve.

So .. this long story was to tell you that not only is our bone structure out of kilter so is any nerve formation as well.

Judy could be on to something. . . I am not as experienced as some of you, so maybe that is why I still have my wrist bone. I haven't had the chance to hit it on enough walls. It is considerably smaller than my non bpi hand. Also, I noticed the other day, when my shoulder was really hurting, that my vains were bulging out more than my right arm. Weird. I have a question for those of you who have had surgery. I am going in in two weeks and was informed by Dr. Shenaq's office that I can't take anything but Tylenol. I don't know about you, but that stuff does not work for me. Did any of you take anything or just tough it out? I don't know if I can wait until surgery. Anyway I am done rambling.

I had to stop taking my celebrex before the surgery because it is a blood thinner. It was not fun, but I survived.

The hardest thing for me was going without coffee the night before and morning of the surgery. I NEED my coffee.

Hang in there Brian, the two weeks will fly by.

dang!Just noticed how tiny mine is.Didn't realize it until now.I remember my mother always turning my hanmd palm down because it felt better palm up.The things you learn on this site.

hummm...no wrist bone...I too thought I needed to lose weight in my left arm:)

Brian....as for the Tylonol...I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago. Right after surgery they gave me Darvacet (sp?) A week after I had a severe pain attack in my shoulder and they gave me Hydroco for it.
