My son definitely suffered from pain! The 1st 10 days of life he cried around the clock. Our holistic doctor used muscle testing and discovered that on a scale of 1-10 (10 being severe pain) he was at a 10. He also had tortacollis and fractured clavical. He was developmentally delayed because of high tone(he was stiff as a board.) I believe he taught himself to lay as straight as he could so he would have less pain. The poor guy cried so much that he would throw-up and have an acidy breath. The doctors tried to diagnos him with reflux but I know it wasn't that. He didn't sit-up until age 10 months with the help of PT so he would bend in the middle.

When in London to see bpi specialist with Josh, I met a man who had suffered a motorcycle accident leaving him with a bpi. He also broke both legs and several ribs.
He explained that all other injuries were nothing when compared to the pain his bpi gave him.
He sang the praises of the kids there, marvelled at their ability to live with it.
Josh rarely cried, though he hated physio as a baby.
He still never complains, but I am sure he feels pain from his injury.
