Hey Karl and everyone. To answer yer questions Karl, I'm diagnosed with C6-T1 avulsions left side. They are not 100% sure of this because when Dr. B went into explore the nerves, there was too much scar tissue for him to even identify any nerves. He innervated biceps and brachialis with intercostal 4-6. Also phrenic nerve to axilary nerve and spinal accessory to suprascapular. So far no new movement. For the scar I use Mederma cream (otc) but expensive and vitamin E oil. Thinggs are real rocky in my life right now. Trying to leave my boyfriend who's been living off of my money for two years. I can't seem to find a way out. I refuse to go back to my parents because I'll tailspin into another depression. All my stuffs packed and ready to go, but possibilities keep falling thru. Had a major cooking accident where I spilled boiling pasta into my sling. So worried about cleaning up the mess didn't realize that my arm was basically cooking. Recieved second to third degree burn three inches above to three inches below my elbow. Real nasty! Luckily, I guess, I can't feel it. I've had so much bad luck the last year, too much more might break my spirit. I remember happy times, that just makes it so much harder. I hope one day I will feel free and happy, not suffacated by my pain or my heartache. All you can do is focus on getting thru each day and maybe one day happiness will bless my life again. Take care all!

Hey Sue-I wonder too. Do we have the Phantom pain like somebody who just had a simple amputation from cancer for instance. My theory is that the pain comes from the "holes" in the spinal cord which never heal. So the spine is trying to tell the brain somethings wrong, but the brain can't do anything about it.Also, I have TOTAL B.P avulsion, yet I can flex my tricepts muscle. That's not possible,( acording to the Drs.) yet I can do it.The DRs. like to watch stuff like that. I think that nerve tried to regrow and just 'attatched' itself to the nearest live nerve. Maybe c4 or what's left of c5. If I touch the right side of my face, it feels like I'm touching my right fore arm. When I shave on that side, it feels like I'm shaving my arm. And my arm was amputated 8 years ago. That was very creepy the first year or so. By the way, the Docs like to watch me tie my boots one handed and they really freak when they see me on my motorcycle. Then they throw me a banana.--Ronin
