Thanks everyone!!! You definitely brought an even bigger smile to Abrielle!!!!!!
Oh and Yes, I took pictures too!!!! Her little brother, Matthew(7yrs old) also won 1st place in the same event but different age group!!!!!!
It was a lot of fun to watch! Tina, thanks for mentioning about Abrielle's art prize! Would you believe she also won 1st place in the school science fair at school and then 3rd place at the district science fair!!!!! It was in the newspaper too!
I think it is soooo important to get them involved in a lot of different areas! She would have never even considered track, but her school teacher told us at a conference that she is a fast runner and he'd like to see her do that...she didn't want to run laps at the meet, maybe next year for that. What ever makes her happy!!!! We all know that self esteem is soooo important! It's up to us to help find what they are gifted in and encourage them to do it! And, it helps to have such wonderful friens like you all! Thanks!!!!
