Just to add one more....Michael didn't sit until 10+ months, crawled at 13 months (1 week before his Mod Quad!), and walked at 19+ months.

It sounds like having the x-ray would make everyone more at ease - perhaps then you could rule out physical factors (like hip problems, etc).

Good luck - and many hugs.

Sally

BTW, Michael is now 25 months and loves running - sometimes too quickly - away from me! :-)

Hey I was worried to we started PT to help Thomas we did lots of exercises on the big ball they would sit him on top and roll him side to side and he would have to uses his muscles in his lower back to help himself pull up after about 3 weeks of pt he started sitting sometimes only 5 min. then he wanted to walk he was about 11 m when he sit by himself and 16m when he walked and he did it with a splint on his arm after secondery surgery... no stopping him at this point he is 2 and running every where he still hates to sit very long and still has trouble with balance. He also had torticolis and his spine is not straight nor is his lower spine curved in like it should be.. we have taken him to the chiropractor to help with that. His ribs also flare out on the left side. Muscle imbalance is to blame for all this ... but wishing you the best of luck if you want you can e-mail me.

Sabrina sat up around the normal age, but that was because her therapist worked on that. She didn't crawl until 2 weeks before her birthday, in fact it was on Easter sunday 2001 a day I will never forget.

Robby is a ROBPI he also was late sitting, crawling, and walking. I don't remember when he started sitting I believe it was around 11 months old. He started crawling around 13months. His pt had his ot make a weight bearing splint that had the wrist bent like it would when you crawl and then it braced the elbow. We then stopped pt for a few months. We really thought the weight bearing and crawling were important. Then around 16 months he started walking. We too used the boppy pillow when we were trying to get him to sit up. As was previously mentioned don't compare your child to others too much they all develope in there own time. Be patient. Robby is now 4 1/2.
