Thanks everyone for your thoughts. As always, you all are very helpful. My son never had the primary surgery (we didn't know it was available unfortunately), so I can't say which of his nerves are avulsed or ruptured. I can guess based on his symptoms though. The older he gets, I can see that it's an ever changing injury, with plateaus and lots of ups and downs. I just hope there continues to be ups. I can hope this pain is the precursor to new movement. Wouldn't that be cool?
