Thank you all for the advice and encouragement. It is greatly appreciated. I made a lot of phone calls today. Hopefully, things will fall into place. Spoke with Hyman-Neuman in New York. They asked for most recent MRI. Our neuro hasn't done any tests on Carter, just in office evals. Is this normal? Should other testing have been done already???

Hi Pam, My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this trying time. We video consult with TCH and started at 3 months. We also see Dr. Waters in Boston. I think he is awesome as he takes a lot of time to detail your child's specific issues and he would be a great 1sr or 2nd opinion to have. I highly reccomend BCH and Dr. Waters. We did not have any tests done until 21 months because she was able to put her hand to her mouth by 3 months. Blessings to you and your sweetie!

Hello, Please also check Dr. Grossman from Florida. He is licensed also in NY and I believe he practices in Columbia Hospital. His team goes there a few times a year. His website is: http://www.handandnervespecialist.com/

Our daughter's (7month old) surgery was last week. She is doing well. Her cast comes off tuesday. Good luck and you will be in my prayers.

well Im thinking if your baby is only 3 1/2 months you perhaps need a word from a rep of the" surgery isnt the only choice" voice. :)
3 1/2 months is very young but TCH and Miami both told me when Max was about that age that he needed surgery and that timing was everything -
We declined and needless to say are very thankful that we did- we have chosen chiropractic and therapy as a lifestyle altho I did do formal therapy for a long time and we still do periodic evals with a PT, (ZMax is almost 3)
I took the time to look at the children who had surgery and those who didnt after they were referred to have it- and took a look at my sons function - I took him regularly to a chiropractor just to see if I would get any results, not really expecting much- and...chose to wait a while on the surgery...the results were enough even for the surgeon who later evaled him to say, I cant believe this child has this much recovery- so
this board has many people who choose surgery, which ofcourse is a great option for those who choose it- but it isnt always the only choice :)
Blessings of recovery no matter what path you choose :) and happy ROMing
