As a parent with a child who suffers from a TBPI for the last 9 years, and who looks at this forum everyday since the accident, and who has talked to both Dan and Chris in the past, I can only give my opinion, and that is "Well said" to both Chris's and Dan's post. The information that these two gentlemen have shared on this forum, be it about Drs., medical research or lifestyle decisions, has been invaluable, at least to me. And I'm sure to many others. This isn't about who the best Doctors are, it's about sharing necessary information at a very vulnerable time of ones life. I would like to thank them both, and everyone on here that takes the time to share their knowledge and experiences. THANKS

smrachek the words you wrote should be written on the top of the page here. Sharing information is the only way we can get to the right places. This site is only one of two that I know about and I had to point my neurologist to them.
I looked at some statistics and only about 800-900 people can be found since 2000 that have reported a form of this malady. Thats maybe two per state per year. Even the Drs that should know about this have never seen a case. So we must continue to share whatever we can with them and each other to better our, and our kids, situations.

Sometimes I wish that you could see how far you have come
I read post of courage and endurance in light of the limitation so many find a way to overcome by a adapted of NEVER GIVE UP
Either by your quest for treatment or what you find you can adapt to. I have a life time of experience and your on this journey to. Please remember how far you have come by sheer determination from trying and try to find peace to A POINT?????
You know when I got my arm ripped up driving a semi I ended up with carpel tunnel , radial nerve damage and I tore my deltoid to a point it was totally detach. When the doctor reattach it it got rip up again
They told me I could have surgeries but to do so they would have to immobilize my arm and I would have to be put in a nursing home for months. Two arms ,mess up
. I cant do the surgeries, Who could ever sign up to be a invalided or keep my arm still. Good thing I had my erbs to teach me to remember how and what I have done so I can find new ways to overcome what I can do now and the peace in my choice not to have surgeries?????
You Guys our doing GREAT!!! Just remember how much you try to help yourself and HELPING HERE by posting what you can
