Well, I care and I thank you for what you say. I know I am redundant some times to drive a truth home. If you need to get mad E-mail me on the private board Ill try to help
.
I speak with no treatments you guys can speak with treatment there is a difference I am OLD school I would say. Some Doc got me very MAD , This Clown would not past me on A DOT physical because of my ERBS , This met I could not TRY to learn to drive a SEMI!!!!
I learn to turn anger in to WILL-power, I got another DOCTORS option and He gave me a break, 26 years of safe driving SEMI awards and pass my DOT physicals , That I think was a act of God
Its called a Fighting Spirit! You have it to
I wish those BPI Soldier were at least told about UBPN< There stuck with N0 direction, Yeah Right, Take a arm off,
that is in fact the emtional
begining of fear I THINK!!!
MAY THE FORCE BE withYou

Armstrong,
Your accident and injuries sound similar to mine. For me the deltoid never came back. My doc felt a slight flicker in my bicep after about two months. After about 6 I could use the elbow fairly well. After about a year, I had pretty good use. You learn to cope and deal. Chopping it off is not necessary in my case. I never lost any tricep in the first place, and after strengthening the bi, those muscles help support the shoulder even without the delt.
You go back and forth with the emotional stuff, and I can't say thats ever totally gone away but at some point you know that as far as this injury goes, it just is what it is and you make the best of it. I tell you though that exercising it, stretching a little, and lyrica for the nerve pain are what help me. I have an olympic curl bar that i now lift with 10 lb plates on it. Helps my bicep alot. when it comes back, start lifting whatever you can and use your good arm to help. After I first had the injury, I couldn't lift a piece of paper.
Oh and if you have access to a pool, that helps me to get in and move the arm a little.

I agree keep your ROM good and exercise it. I am not able to lift weights but found that exercise bands have helped a lot. My rear deltoid never came back but by exercising my other muscles my arm almost sits back up in its socket. Just don't give up.
