How long does pain last?

My injury was 10 months ago. I agree with everyone on the need to stay active, also I cannot help but to emphasize that an over reliance on pain killers is a very bad idea, as it makes the pain worse in the end

Accident 25/06/1997. Pain started 3 weeks after and is still there. I have rootavulsion, let's say the mother of all bpi injuries Not only that, it is common belief among specialists that this causes the worst pain as well (my motto: if you do something, do it right!) .

I still work 100%, without the meds it is simply impossible, did go down on the doses a bit.

Maybe it will fade away as time passes, keep on hoping!

I had my motor bike RTA in 1969 I still hurt, even after amputation 4.5 years after. I don't take pills now ,I try to relax & ingore it. Keeping busy helps to some extent, but it does depend on how many nerves are affected.
