I hope when this gets done with a tread it gets given for the baby that has erbs can have a referance to thing they can try to do in there life time. There will always be the over used arm issue, I Know. I know there our other out here that were injuried later in life who got erbs suddenly by there injuries. They might be something else they might try? I got to get off this soup box.

Hiya. Not been around here for a while but funny how this topic has come up just as i decided to pop in for a visit!
I used to hang around here a lot.... i guess looking for answers and perpective. Its taken a long time for me, but i have now accepted my lot in life. Whats the point in wallowing in self-pity? God gave me Erbs for a reason and now i let it stop me doing NOTHING!!
I work 12 hours a day in manual jobs (i will tell you about these in the other thread), ive brought up 2 kids on my own since they were tiny, and having no man means i have to do all the housework/ cooking/ DIY on my own. Nothing is impossible with a bit of smart thinking LOL
Some days the dinner lands up on the floor coz my hands have let go as i take the casserole from the oven ..... and where once i wouldve cried and got frustrated, we now laugh and go get takeaway food instead. Life is too short. You have to suck it up and deal with the hand you are dealt (if you will pardon the pun lol)
I show my scars with pride. They are part of who i am and they make me me. If other people have a problem with my disability (although i hate that word!!) then its them who have the problem!

Janny,
WELCOME, WELCOME!! I am glad you are sharing and no longer a lurker! You are another living example of our BPI-er ingenuity and determination. I like "your Perspective". FYI there is a
Private forum for us OBPI adults where we "let it rip". You must email
kath@ubpn.org to get access to it...when you do that it will appear on your computer when you log on to the message boards. We found thatwe were holding back alot of stuff so not to worry mothers who come to our public forum.
Venting heals just like Hugs heal!
Hugs from across the pond,
