I feel for you we had the same problem. We live 30 minutes from chicago and my son had a horrible car accident in Aug of 2006. If you would like to email and let me know where you are at with this search for surgery. I can share some great information with you because I went crazy in the Chicagoland area trying to get him help. Whatever I can do I am here.

Hi local Chicago Land people
I live in small town North of Chicago-Woodstock IL. Right on the border of WI.
I went to doctor at Northwestern but I went to him for pain., he really wanted to do the DREZ procedure.
I am a Mayo Clinic patient and I have had a dozen surgeries there. I was 17 when I had my accident, therefore I was still on my parents insurance.
I am so sad to hear that Mayo Clinic can't help out with the cost of the surgeries you need! I have insurance and my latest surgeries have exceeded over 40K. They want 10% of the remaining bill monthly but I can't afford $400 a month but they were willing to reduce it to $200.
I wish and pray you get the help in St Louis you so deserve! If anything the doctors in St Louis can concur with the Mayo team.
