Hey George,

I am a firm believer that the pain has not decreased but that my tolerence has increased. I have felt that way for years. I guess I feel that way because a couple years into the injury I was taking the pain meds as prescribed. One day I had not taken them because I felt "okay". That night I had the "shakes", the "sweats" and all the other good things that come with not taking such strong medication. I had a decision to make either take more and more meds to combat the new problem or learn to deal with the pain. I decided to learn to deal with the pain. I still take Lorcet when I just can't function but that averages about once a week.

My question to the 1 to 10 scale is "1 to 10 on your scale or mine?" They look at you very odd when you say that. On their scale it is an 11+!

Later,
Joy
