My son played T-Ball and Baseball for 6 years. He has a ROBPI. Because he has a tiny bit of finger movement and some shoulder movement, he would wear the glove on his left hand. When the ball came his way, he would catch it with his left hand, quickly transfer the ball to his right hand, put the glove under his armpit, and then transfer the ball from his right hand into his left hand to throw. Once the ball left his hand, he would put his glove back on the left hand.

We had to make sure the opening of the glove was open enough for him to easily put his hand in and out.

When batting, he used only his left hand. A batting glove and a really light bat really helped in that department. As light as you can get is best (They are a little pricey).

Also, are you having any problems with the kids and or other parents? Somewhere around here I have a little info card that I made up and handed out to each family wrapped to a package of "Big League" Chew(ing) gum. That way each parent could explain it to their kids in the privacy of their own home in a way that was appropriate for their child.

Now the parents on the visiting teams? That's a different story....that took a little more work. Anyone else have ideas for handling this? It's all about Awareness, right?

Good Luck!
