Yes I would say e-stim would help slow or stop atrophy. They had Dustin using that before he could make any movement.

Doctors have varied opinions about it, but research has proven it works if done by specific protocol.

can a normal PT preform that kind of E-stim?

Dustin's OT used it on him, then taught us how. We had one at home so we could use it daily. I would think a PT would also know how.
