Thanks for asking. I suppose he is doing better. He is having to take medicine for the vomitting. It is the same thing they give chemo patients. As long as he takes it he can eat with no problems. He had the staples taken out last Monday. The doctor gave him the green light to resume normal activities. The problem with that was...to my father that means he can go right back to everything he was doing before. I think the doctor should have worded it differently. On Tuesday my father was going to go out and mow and edge the yard!!
The other thing that is driving us all crazy is my fathers temperment. Oh my goodness he is grumpy!!! My mild mannered father can be a real ass at times! LOL He has been very short and critical of my mother. She has called several times in tears because he has been nasty to her. I am hoping that since he is not taking pain medication anymore that his temperment will return to normal.
In the scheme of things he is doing well. We are hoping the gall stone and hernia they found during surgery will not require more surgery. Time will tell.
I truly appreciate all the support I have gotten here on the board. It makes it so much easier to know I have some place to go and be among friends!
