My son crawled and sat up in an average time frame. Some children with this injury do crawl, don't necessarily give up hope!

Kayla just started scooting. Is your daughter sitting up? Until about a week ago all she would do was spin around and bounce up and down (its really cute i might add). I never though she would crawl and assumed she would scoot, which she is now doing. She stopped trying to pull up too, I think she is focusing on mastering scooting.
My husband brought up the point that it might not be physically possible for her to crawl. She cannot raise her affected arm above her brow line. When crawling both arms need to be raised above the brow line. Anybody have any other thoughts on that??

My son has a global injury. However, he started crawling around 8 1/2 months in an unusual fashion. He would fling his affected arm out by using his shoulder, then would place his hand down on the ground. It was frequently the back of his hand that he would crawl on. He looked like he was galloping. A different story for every kid...

Sidney didn't crawl until she was 11 months old and she kept her hand in a fist the whole time. She walked at 13 months and hasn't stopped since. Don't fret about the crawling too much. It is a milestone that you think she will be missing out on, but she'll compensate, I promise.

I was told that i never crawled as well- i apparently rolled all over the place. i guess that was my way of getting around, i didnt use my arm too much, i didnt learn how to ride a bike till i was 9 b/c of balance issues... so its common for that i suppose.
