Frankie is doing better he said once he got sick he felt better and is now eating again I think it might have been all the meds in his body then the whole airport thing wore him out. Thanks for asking oh yeah Daves better too. I had to change the bandages oh my god what do they use crazy glue it took half his skin with it thats some tape if only I could use it to keep dave in place frankie says he keeps trying to run off Mare

Mare and Frankie/Dave,
Frankie, yes I get it now...your "funny" is all it could be, huh! You will always know the answers now in Class huh frankie!! Too bad you can't march in a Patriot Parade while wearing Dave!...I love your ideas on this,Frankie. I can't wait to hug you at Camp 2007! Start saving your allowance...
Mare, a Nap is when you M-A-K-E yourself take a break & lay on your own bed for at least 10 minutes to 1 hour. Frankie and Dave will be fine for a short period of time; please try 10 minutes...set an alarm if you feel you must. Moms need rest too, you are human, you know!...LOL
More Hugs to 'Yous',
Carolyn J

Hi Carolyn
Your right I need to forget the house work and sleep when he sleeps or watches a movie I've forgotten how hard all this is its been 10 years since his last 2 surgeries but then he was a baby and easier to handle I could carry him around and put him in bed with me and there was room for us and his splints now he's 5'9 and 175lbs there no moving that. LOL WE all slept good last night so I'm back to my old self. Going for wound check at 10 then to get hair washed Bye for now Mare

Well no beauty parlor for Frankie today he felt so sick to his stomach after going to the doctors he went right to bed the Dr said he either caught stomach bug or the pain meds tyenol #3 could also be doing it only needs 1 a day at the most but we are going to try just plain Advil he has stopped eating again just drinks water.
Be Back later Mare

Mare,
Oh yeah, I rememmbered..Tylenol #3 also made me contantly nausiated so I switched to Percacet or the other generic for Percacet or Darvacet.I hope his tummy feels better soon.
Percacet & Darvacet don't have Codine in them and are a little stronger than Advil.
HUGS,
Carolyn J

Well it turns out it wasn't the pain meds making frankie sick after all it was the amoxicilin I gave him it this morning and 5 min later he was throwing up so I figure he only has 1 more day on it so I stopped it the incision looks good no sign of infection and he's been off the pain meds for 3 days. We went for PT today but the place our insurance co sent us to do not do OT or splinting and have never worked with a BPI kid they were clueless so we left and tomorrow I"ll start calling around to find a PT/OT that knows what there doing.
Mare
PS Frankie has decided when he's done with Dave he wants to have a splint burning party

Hopefully he is feeling better today. I remember wanting a splint burning party too. Once I took the thing off though, it took me almost 2 years to get rid of it.
